A very nice Sunday lunch. Good food was served in a welcoming place with excellent staff. Welcomed at bar and quickly taken to table. Water brought to table and order quickly taken. Food was well prepared and presented with reasonable portion sizes. Goid lighting. Mostly level access.
A decent choice of tasty dishes for a reasonable price. The servings are very generous, it is hard to finish your plate, and the staff are happy to give you take away boxes. I recommend the steak pie.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Cottage Bar and Restaurant during our travel and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Service was good and friendly. And let's talk about the food! The menu being served was a Sunday special. I had the pleasure of trying Chicken breast with Black pudding with peppercorn sauce which was lovely, my wife had the Steak pie. My son had a small kids Pepperoni Pizza with a side of fries. We ended up ordering some desserts and son was adamant to have an ice-cream. The flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was good. Overall, my experience at The Cottage Bar and Restaurant was very good. The combination of great service and wonderful food was simply fantastic. If you're looking for a place to enjoy good food and great service, or if you are travelling like us then The Cottage. It's a true gem that deserves every bit of praise.
Fantastic value and really great food. We practically licked our plates clean. The steak pie was phenomenal! Staff were amazingly helpful and even went out to the shops to restock when we ran out of gin! I would highly recommend this place and definitely return when we’re back in this area.
Great restaurant/pub that serves comfort food at its best. We had the roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, as well as the chicken breast with black pudding and a creamy peppered sauce. Service was courteous and prompt. Highly recommended.
What a fun local place to visit. We arrived with out a reservation for dinner and they were wonderful to fit us in. We had to wait a little bit. But the atmosphere, and the locals made it a great time. Super friendly staff and locals! The Breaded Brie and Crab Cakes were amazing. The Steak Pie was really good as well.
